Hello Everyone:

Has anyone had any experience fishing out of a Vermont Fishing Dory, made in Vermont by the Adirondack GuideBoat Company?

Also has anyone had any similar experiences with a boat called the Good Dog Boat. This is a layton design, 10' rowing skiff.

Any input would be helpful. I'm mostly going to use these as fishing boats for one possibly 2 people. All in small protected waters. Would be rowing to cover a lot of area.

Thanks:dude:

I have had the pleasure of fishing from the kevlar version of he Adirondack guide boat from the Adirondack Guide Boat Co. The boat was easy to handle, rowed beautifully and tracked very nicely. It was was stable enough to fly fish on a large lake. The kevlar version is lower priced but the wooden version is really a work of art.

The Vermont dory is a smaller version of the boat I have used. I expect it has the same characteristics and is just as much fun.
