I am a newby and after seeing some dealers totally confused. I checked Legend, Lund, Princecraft and so on. Everybody claims their construction is better, quoting double plated bottom and on and on. What do you guys think is a real good make to buy? I am looking for 16' fishing boat.
Thanks,

I beleive that it is all personnal choice. I have been looking at small boats for fishing 14-16' for the past year and recently decided on a Polar Kraft Dakota with a 20 hp yamaha. I did look at lund, alumicraft, G3, princraft, etc, all are quality boats. I don't know if this is accurate but I think that mercury is now involved in the production or ownership of lund. It boiled down for as to who was going to provide me the best deal on the boat, motor and trailer. Prices varied by about $2,000 from the differant dealers. Shop around. What really surprised me was that some dealers could not tell me when they would have a boat in thier yard to look at before making the purchase, this alone eliminated several dealers right from the start.
