I am considering buying the plans for the nutmeg. However I have some strong concerns about my ability to complete it. What tools are required. I do have a table saw and a circular saw and drill plus usual handtools, Is that enough. Also how much skill is involved. I am not an experienced woodworker and never built anything since high school. Finallly how much bevelling is invoved are the support frames bevelled on the side and  bottom to folllow bend of hull and  floor does a chine take care of that thanks for your time and am looking forward to your response. richd

I have just completed a build of the nutmeg... needed tools are minimal... and I have found that this is a good project for honing your woodworking skills. Sure, you'll make some mistakes as you go along, but these plans are quite forgiving... and the only one who knows of the imperfections will be you!

In terms of the beveling of framework... the answer is yes. When you buy the plans the angle of the bevels are laid out quite clearly. As long as you have a bevel adjustment on your table saw you'll be fine with this.

I highly encourage you to buy these plans! For a minimal investment you'll have a project that will stretch you... and you'll end up with a boat to enjoy come spring!
