Just bought this daysailer designed and built by Bill Booth in La Paz BCS MX
LOA 23' LWL 19'2" Beam 4' 0" Sail 112 sf F/G over plywood bottom
Unstayed main and foresail, dual centerboards small deck and cabin top foreward. Reminds me a little of some long boats of 20-30 years ago that would have had plans in the maybe SBJ.

mikenlapaz,
This sounds like a very fast, exciting boat to sail! What is the displacement? Do you have any photos that you could post? What is her condition? When will your first sail be?
Congratulations on your auction find!

this should link to some pictures. http://www.flickr.com/gp/15257912@N04/28se01
The best estimate on displacement was 'takes about 5 guys to roll her on her side' Anything more is a guess. The lockers were dry and generally good paint.
The boat was donated to the local Cruising Club's annual Sebasta ( Charity auction for some food programs for the local remote children). Former caretaker of the boat will take use for a trial run maybe next weekend.
The goal is to teach a or some teens the thrill and challenges of sailing. We have a nice cruising grounds within 10-30 miles of marina.

Thanks for posting the picture and links. This is a very nice looking boat, and your goal of using it to introduce teens to the thrill and challenges of sailing is commendable.
Based on the pictures, it looks considerably warmer where you are than it is here in New Hampshire. Please let us know how your sailing trials go. For those of us in colder climates, we need all the vicarious adventures we can get!

If you want to escape the cold, check this out as an alternative. Winter is tough shorts and t-shirt most of time. Summers are HOT http://www.vivalapaz.com/
Working on the list.....

Have you had a chance to take your new boat out yet? I hope all is well for you.

Last weekendwe went out both days. Just barely enough wind to offset the tidal current. Like the sails just filled. A learning experience for all. Little things like handling with and without centerboards in tight quarters. Oh yes must not forget learning limitations of the electric outboard against current and wind. (We did not touch the end of dock but only with a gentle push from dockwalker.!)

Hi mikenlapaz,
Another month has gone by already since your last post. Have you been able to get out sailing again? It's still too cold for sailing little boats up here, and it will be for at least another three months. Maybe if I invest in a dry suit...
