Should boaters use ethanol in their motor boats engines? Have you tried ethanol in your boat? It's not very popular - most people think its terrible marine fuel.

The latest Fuel Ghoul blog triumphs the appearance of ethanol fuels in marine refueling stations in Lake of the Woods, Ontario, Canada.

Don't get me started on ethanol. A year ago Massachusetts mandated 10% ethanol mix for all gas sold. Ethanol likes to absorb moisture, it doesn't affect cars with their sealed vapor recovery systems. However with the required open venting on boat gas tanks, there have been major problems with water in the gas for outboards. If you are having problems install a water separator 10 micron gas filter.
I hope this saves someone some grief.
