Has anyone had excessive spray come paralell to the transom ? I raised the motor and it mostly went away but now I have unacceptable cavitation. The motor is the correct shaft lenghth for the boat, 1978 Seaway 19.
Thanks,

I would try a different prop with more cup in it, or just a different brand prop and see what happens.

Excessive transom spray- Increased drag and excessive water spray off the foot and pump bell housing. Water deflects off the transom and the intake foot below the bell housing, and sprays into the back of the boat.
