I have a 1960 15' Sangstercraft Boat, I belive the model is the Rideau Mark II. I had to replace the floor, transom, stringers and windsheild, and am now working on new paint and seats. I recently bought a 1969 40hp Johnson for power. It is very hard to find info on these boats. I would love to see everyone's pics that they have of Sangstercraft boats. Post on this page or email blackbuggy@hotmail.com.

| Your boat looks simmilar, the engine tray is a bit different. I cut my windsheild from a 1/8" thick peice of lexan, did the trick.

Nice job,I havent worked with Lexan before did you hav to mold it with heat for the corners or is it flexible enough to bend those corners on its own?
I was also wondering about the max HP rating on these boats, mine is missing all the decals and plates, and being that this is my first boat I hav a lot of questions
if you can help with any info it would be a great help.
thanks

Hi All
Here is my project boat A16 Ft, Outboard driven Sangstercraft as I found it in a field
in rural Saskatchewan.
Sadly the Brass plate on the Transom is missing, so are any of the identifying markings, The boat for it's age is in reasonable shape. The License number would make it out to be that it was first registered In BC. Oh yes it has 2 build in Fiberglass fuel tanks under the seats.
If any one of you has more information on this The Type Craft it would be much appreciated.
Ps: The trailer did not survive

| Based on the fins, which where popular in the late 1950's, I think this may be the oldest of the Sangstercraft boats posted to date. Like Dwight's boat the engine pan is round, and the hull appears to be a virtual match. Attachment: IMG_0079_1.jpg (Downloaded 123 times)

Hi All,
I am new to this forum after searching the 'net for info on Sangstercraft boats. Seems like this is the place to be. Anyway, I purchased a 1970(??) 14.5 Sangstercraft the other day. It came with a 65hp Merc two stroke motor, full canopy (needs new material), water skis (ancient) and a Humminigbird fish finder (yay). It needs a bit of a makeover, but is generally in fair shape.
I am looking for information on where to find a windshield, steering cable, and shift cables for it. I live in the East Kootenays of BC - Cranbook. Any ideas on where to start would be appreciated.

I've put a new motor and controls on this unit, got a vin for the trailer, new tires, battery, gas tanks, and still looking for tilt and trim for our need a new windshield for this boat... if anyone has found a place where parts are available.

Just bought a Sangstercraft with trailer for $100 Canadian. Definate project boat. It had a Sangstercraft emblem screwed in on the console, but no other markings so I know nothing about it.
So far I got it gutted and now drying it out. It looks like the outer shell is the only thing that will be original once I'm done.
I took off the windshield and Chrome stuff before I took these pics.

This is where I am at now.

This should be fun! Can't go wrong with 100 bucks.

Hello,
My name is Steen Jensen, I bought a what I think is an early 60's Sangstercraft about a year and a half ago, it came with a 1964 Mercury motor and 2 sets of controls as well as 2 sets of seats that are not in very good condition.
There is as well a trailer that I have since painted and re-greased the bearings.
As far as I can tell, all parts of the boat are there with the exception of the center part of the steering wheel and the gauges in the dash, it would require not much more than a cosmetic restoration (paint and a little fill ) including the restoration of the steering wheel and polishing of the trim.
Not long after I started to fix the trailer, I became ill, and no longer have the energy to complete this project.
I have about 500.00 in total invested 300.00 purchase price, approx 75.00 in spray bombs ( used Tremclad ) 50.00 for a set of wiring and 2 cases of beer for my buddy to help move it around ( I had some too )
I would like to see this in the hands of someone who could restore this to it's former glory, it has a straight hull at the back as opposed to your turned in one, but I like it.
I do not need or want to make any profit from this, if you are interested, please respond and I can send pictures from the day it came home, I live in Kelowna B.C.
My Phone # is 250-869-0909
