I have a 7.5 hp gamefisher outboard.  I have no idea what year it is.  How can I figure out what year it is? Anyways back to my question.  The air/fuel mixture screw, how many turns out from the totally seated position?  The carb is all screwed up and is adjusted all crazy.  I need a starting point.  Thankx

I have a Gamefisher 9.9 manual (1983 motor) which tells how to adjust the carb. If you care to provide an email address, I will send you a scan of the page. You start out at midpoint, etc.

hello. im very surprised to see or hear of anoth 7.5 gamefisher. i too have one.shes a good engine sofar.i have adjusted mine only slightly.when in neutral i turned it a 16 th to the right then a couple 16ths to the left until i got a good idle then dropped it in gear to see if i had a nice purr for trolling at 1.9 mph. engine notices when i dont get my oil to gas mixture correct. 50:1 premium murcury 2 cycle.seems to make her the happiest. although what brings me to this site was it just spits out a spray out of the pee hole. not sure im saying it right. but the jets about 5 inches above the water line. was thinking maybe its not working perfectly ( like a steady cylindrical stream of water)

does your water come out nice? they said the engine would overheat if it wasnt working right , but i have had it stop or freeze.

shes attached to an 12` foot alluminum and goes around 19 mph . but i added a swival chair and now only get 17.9mph .

sorry im long winded. i know that the screw you speak of can only be adjusted slightly in one direction or the other before its obviously in a bad setting.somewhere in the middle like that guy said.

i appeciate and imput. and good luck with your gamefisher. kyle romund 952-292-6751
