First post - Just purchased a 1999 Mercury 3.3hp 2-stroke. It starts ok but it is stuck in forward gear {has only forward and neutral} I ran it in a water test tank for 5 minutes and did not see a stream for the water pump. Afterward the shaft was pretty hot.
