Here is an image of two deck cannon that once were aboard the US CONSTITUTION and now reside at the Evergreen - Washelli Cemetary Memorial Park on Aurora Ave., Seattle WA.
The plaque reads:
“On Friday, June 9th, 1932, these two 32 pound Long Rifle Cannons, which flank the walkway to the Chimes Veteran’s Tower, were dedicated to the memory of those who lost their lives on ‘Old Ironsides’ by the officers and men of the US Frigate CONSTITUTION (“Old Ironsides”) which was then in Elliott Bay, Seattle on a national tour.
The cannon had been in the Spar Deck Battery which was added during the battle damage repair in 1815. They were removed from the ship preparatory to a major ship restoration in 1926 and not replaced as they were not part of the original 1797 armament.
